KEY FEATURES

ONLY 6D HAS ODS™

6D’s Omni-Directional Suspension™ technology is an active, in-helmet suspension and energy management system that is only found in 6D Helmets.

REBUILDABLE

The ATR-2 is revolutionizing the world of head protection by introducing a groundbreaking concept: rebuildability. Unlike traditional helmets that are typically discarded after a significant impact, the ATR-2 is designed to be rebuilt and reused.

RESULTS THAT SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES

LOW-THRESHOLD ENERGY

Most helmet strikes in real-world scenarios are considered low-threshold energy impacts. These impacts fall below the pass/fail thresholds for certification but are still significant enough to result in concussion or more severe injuries.

ANGULAR ACCELERATION

A root cause to brain injury and concussion. Angular acceleration is generated from angled impacts to the helmet’s surface resulting in shearing, tearing and bruising of the soft tissues within the brain.

HIGH VELOCITY IMPACTS

The riskiest of all crash impacts with the greatest potential for severe injury. The helmet must work to its maximum capacity to ensure the highest level of protection.

ODS™ TECHNICAL FEATURES

MULTI-IMPACT OUTER EPP LINER

The multi-impact EPP outer liner is strategically positioned against the helmet shell's inner surface. It is an exceptional energy absorption material designed with EPP "Damping Towers" to assist in progressive loading of the ODS™ system during impacts. This capability, along with the EPP's multi-impact feature, is key in allowing the ATR-2 to be rebuilt.

DETERMINING CORRECT HELMET SIZE

Ensure a Snug and Secure Fit: Your helmet should provide a secure fit around your entire head circumference. Cheek pads should offer firm support against your cheekbones, minimizing lateral movement. Our helmets offer various shell options, cheek pads, and liners for a personalized fit and exceptional comfort. Refer to our simple guide below to get started. For any inquiries, please reach out to us through our online contact form.

  1. Measure your head circumference: Use a soft tape measure to measure horizontally around your head, approximately one inch above your eyebrows and half an inch above each ear. This will provide your largest reference measurement for sizing.
  2. Consult the size chart: Cross-check your head measurement with our sizing chart to determine your correct helmet size.
  3. Select the closest match: Choose the helmet size that closely corresponds to your head measurement. If your head size falls between two sizes, try the smaller one first. Often, helmet pads and liners can be adjusted for a customized fit.

Checking for proper fit

Ensure a Proper Fit: To determine if you have selected the correct helmet size, follow these steps:

  1. Position the helmet correctly: Ensure your head is fully seated inside the helmet, making contact with the comfort liner on the crown of your head and around the entire circumference. The cheek pads should provide a firm fit against your cheekbone area.
  2. Test helmet movement: With the chinstrap securely fastened, grip the helmet firmly with both hands. Without moving your head, attempt to move the helmet up and down and from side to side. You should feel the skin of your head and face being pulled over your skull as you try to move the helmet. If the helmet easily moves without this sensation, it is too big and a smaller size is needed.
  3. Check rotational stability: Try rotating the helmet forward around your ears. It should not be possible to remove the helmet in this manner if the chinstraps are properly fastened.

If you cannot achieve the described fit and adjustments, DO NOT USE THE HELMET as it may result in serious injury or death. Replace the helmet with the correct size for optimal safety.
