Introducing the 6D ATR-2Y youth off-road helmet, the ultimate brain protection for young athletes. Designed to meet the unique needs of growing children, the ATR-2Y follows in the footsteps of the adult model. Infused with the same advanced ODS technology found in the adult ATR-2, this helmet prioritizes the safety of young riders and their still-developing brains. Experience superior protection and peace of mind with the 6D ATR-2Y, taking youth off-road safety to the next level.
Specifically designed for youth riders
No shortcuts, no compromises. The ATR-3Y delivers the same top-tier build quality and advanced ODS™ technology as the ATR-3, with softer, more compliant materials designed specifically for the developing youth brain.
KEY FEATURES
Grow with your rider
"ODS is basically, suspension for your head."
Omni-Directional Suspension™ technology is an active, in-helmet suspension and energy management system. The system reduces energy transfer to the brain over a wider range of energy demands, including low, mid, and high-velocity impacts for both linear and angular acceleration. This is achieved through the use of a suspended dual-liner assembly that can displace and shear in any direction upon impact.
DETERMINING CORRECT HELMET SIZE
Ensure a Snug and Secure Fit: Your helmet should provide a secure fit around your entire head circumference. Cheek pads should offer firm support against your cheekbones, minimizing lateral movement. Our helmets offer various shell options, cheek pads, and liners for a personalized fit and exceptional comfort. Refer to our simple guide below to get started. For any inquiries, please reach out to us through our online contact form.
- Measure your head circumference: Use a soft tape measure to measure horizontally around your head, approximately one inch above your eyebrows and half an inch above each ear. This will provide your largest reference measurement for sizing.
- Consult the size chart: Cross-check your head measurement with our sizing chart to determine your correct helmet size.
- Select the closest match: Choose the helmet size that closely corresponds to your head measurement. If your head size falls between two sizes, try the smaller one first. Often, helmet pads and liners can be adjusted for a customized fit.

Checking for proper fit
Ensure a Proper Fit: To determine if you have selected the correct helmet size, follow these steps:
- Position the helmet correctly: Ensure your head is fully seated inside the helmet, making contact with the comfort liner on the crown of your head and around the entire circumference. The cheek pads should provide a firm fit against your cheekbone area.
- Test helmet movement: With the chinstrap securely fastened, grip the helmet firmly with both hands. Without moving your head, attempt to move the helmet up and down and from side to side. You should feel the skin of your head and face being pulled over your skull as you try to move the helmet. If the helmet easily moves without this sensation, it is too big and a smaller size is needed.
- Check rotational stability: Try rotating the helmet forward around your ears. It should not be possible to remove the helmet in this manner if the chinstraps are properly fastened.
If you cannot achieve the described fit and adjustments, DO NOT USE THE HELMET as it may result in serious injury or death. Replace the helmet with the correct size for optimal safety.
